Featuring motifs drawn from the Maison’s Épi leather and South Korean painter Park Seo-Bo’s Écriture series.
Louis Vuitton’s latest men’s capsule collection ‘Fall’ is all about surface decoration. The most prevalent is Épi, the Maison’s leather with eye-catching lines inspired by rippling wheat fields. The textured motif is magnified onto outerwear like a beige double-breasted coat, utilitarian blouson, and leather bombers in mocha or light blue, heightening the drama of its directional undulation. On a cropped double-breasted leather suit with flared trousers in crimson, it becomes absolute wildfire.
Another key pattern is derived through creative exchange with the Estate of the late South Korean painter Park Seo-Bo, who previously collaborated with Louis Vuitton on the ArtyCapucines project in 2022. The rich linear language of his famous Écriture series is transposed onto elegant velvet tracksuits, a red wool coat and gilet, as well as a neon green blouson, showcasing the formidable monochromatic impact of Korean Dansaekhwa.
Other motifs include the Monogram Macro, which maximises the signature Monogram flowers on the leather panels of a black suede blouson, a grey denim suit and a degrade mocha windbreaker, and the LV Blason, an all-over embroidery of LV lettering on a black lambskin overshirt and raw-blue denim suit.
In leather goods, Park’s Écriture artworks are reinterpreted with the texture of Épi leather. Backpacks, briefcases, keepalls and even the Alma top-handle adopt colours from the art series (air blue, neon green, maple red), and are lined in beige to evoke traditional Korean hanji paper. There is also a Monogram Gradient canvas which fades the Maison’s emblematic pattern in navy and khaki hues. Elsewhere, the core shapes of the streamlined LV Aerogram line welcomes an inky blue and mocha tone.
