CORIANDRE 39 captures the spirit of Mexico City through the unique scent of cilantro.

Every year, Le Labo unveils its highly anticipated City Exclusive collection, a series of fragrances that capture the soul of cities around the world, each scent as distinctive and unforgettable as its namesake. This year, the newest addition to the collection is CORIANDRE 39, a bold fragrance dedicated to Mexico City.
Inspired by the city’s dynamic blend of history, nature, and modernity, CORIANDRE 39 centers around cilantro. The fragrance opens with a bright burst of spicy lime and aldehydic cilantro leaves, evoking the lively streets of Mexico City. As it develops, fresh, green florals and crisp watery notes emerge, offering a tranquil contrast before settling into a musky dry-down that reflects the city’s deep, historical roots.
Le Labo’s choice to center this fragrance around cilantro is a bold one. Some love its bright and slightly soapy flavor, while others find it too overpowering. This mirrors the city’s own contrasting elements: a blend of new and old and of chaos and calm.
The collection also features 16 other unique fragrances that pay homage to cities around the world such as CITRON 28 for Seoul, GAIAC 10 for Tokyo, TUBEREUSE 40 for New York, VANILLE 44 for Paris, MOUSSE DE CHENE 30 for Amsterdam, and more.
Based on the collection’s name, these fragrances can only be purchased in the city they belong to. The exclusivity of the collection adds to its allure — these scents are not available for online orders or shipping, reinforcing the idea that some of the most beautiful things in life are meant to be sought out and discovered in person. However, with their good graces, the brand makes these available for the rest of the world every September.
From September 1 to 30, the City Exclusive collection will be available in Le Labo Greenbelt 5 and Mall of Asia.
