The first permanent Gucci Valigeria boutique dedicated to travel is located at 229 Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris
It’s finally here; the first permanent Gucci Valigeria boutique has opened its doors to a new home at 229 Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris. Dedicated to the house’s extended travel range, the store will feature a curated selection of totes, backpacks, duffles, garment bags, vanity cases, hat cases, suitcases, and trunks (in soft and hard-sided iterations), most from the Gucci Savoy collection as seen in the house’s campaign starring Ryan Gosling earlier this year. The range is recognisable by its signature house motifs, such as Gucci’s monogram, Double G hardware, and Web stripe.
“Gucci Valigeria is a powerful reminder of our Florentine roots and our timeless craft,” says President and CEO of Gucci Marco Bizzarri. “It is a symbol of our legacy, reinterpreted through the ages for the travellers and modern-day explorers of every era. Paris’s Rue Saint-Honoré is the perfect location to house our first Gucci Valigeria boutique, offering a portal into our ever-expanding world of travel and discovery.”
The two-story building’s refined interiors draws inspiration from luxury travel during the Belle Époque (a significant period of time in French and European history) – a makeshift space that’s reminiscent of vintage railway carriages for the bourgeoisie back in the day, accentuated with neutral-toned canvas surfaces, tartan loom-woven carpet flooring, and flourished with warmer light. A must-visit if you find yourself in Paris any time soon.Â
